Record audio in a Pages, Numbers, or Keynote document on your iPhone or iPad, then play the recording back. You can edit the recording at any time.Record audio
You can record audio with the built-in microphone on your iPhone or iPad, a wired or Bluetooth headset, or a compatible microphone. While you record, you can scroll, zoom, and view different pages, slides, or sheets.
*With a document open, tap the Add button , tap the Media button , then tap Record Audio.
*To begin recording, tap the Record button .
*To stop recording, tap the Stop button . The new recording appears in the audio editor at the bottom of the screen.
*To preview your recording, tap the Preview button . To preview from a specific point, swipe left or right on the recording to position the line, then tap the Preview button .Edit and replace a recording
After you record, you can replace all or part of the recording, trim parts of the recording, or delete all or part of the recording.
To re-record from a specific point, swipe left or right on the recording to position the line, then tap the Record button .
To re-record a section, tap the Edit button , drag the handles on the recording to select the section, then tap the Record button to record over that section.
To trim your recording so only the part you want plays back:
*Drag the handles on the recording to select the section you want to keep.
*Tap the Trim button to remove everything outside of the handles.

When you’re done recording, tap Insert in the top-right corner. This icon , which represents the audio recording, appears on the page, slide, or sheet. Tap the audio recording to play the recording and more:
*To play your recording, tap the audio recording to select it, then tap the audio recording again.
*To edit or delete the recording after you added it to a page, tap the audio recording to select it, then tap Edit or Delete.
*To move the recording, tap the audio recording to select it, then drag it on the page.
*To share your recording as an audio file, tap the audio recording to select it, then tap Share.

You can attach photos, videos, audio files, and other items to your notes. If you use upgraded iCloud notes or notes stored on your Mac, you can also attach map locations and website previews. (If you haven’t upgraded your iCloud notes or are using an account other than iCloud, you can add map or website URLs, but you won’t see previews for them.)

In the Notes app on your Mac, click a note in the notes list or double-click a note in gallery view.
If you select a locked note, you can’t attach a video, audio file, PDF, or document to it.

Do any of the following to add an attachment:

From the desktop: Drag a file into a note.
*
From your Photos library: Drag a photo directly from your Photos library into a note, or click the Media button , select Photos, find the photo or video, then drag it to the note.

Directly from your iPhone or iPad camera: Click the Media button , then select Take Photo or Scan Documents to take a picture or scan a document with your iPhone or iPad and insert it in your note. (Requires macOS Mojave 10.14 or later and iOS 12 or later or iPadOS.) See Insert photos and scans with Continuity Camera on Mac.

Directly from your iPhone or iPad: Click the Media button , then select Add Sketch to draw a sketch using your finger or Apple Pencil on your iPad and insert it in your note. (Requires macOS Catalina or later and iOS 13 or iPadOS or later.) See Insert sketches with Continuity Sketch on Mac.

From within another app, like Maps, Safari, Photos, and more: Click the Share button , then choose Notes.
The Share button doesn’t appear in all apps.
You can also select some text or images, Control-click your selection, then choose Share > Notes.
To change how large an image, scanned document, or PDF attachment appears in a note, Control-click the attachment, then choose View as Large Images or View as Small Images. You can’t change how large drawings appear in notes.View attachments from all your notes
You can view attachments from your notes in a single window, making it easy to browse them and find just the one you want. You can only view attachments from notes stored on your Mac or upgraded iCloud notes.

In the Notes app on your Mac, click the Attachments button .

Do any of the following:

View attachments: Click the category buttons to view different kinds of attachments. To return to the list of notes, click the Attachments button again.
Note: This view doesn’t show drawings or attachments in locked notes, even if you have entered your password to unlock your notes.

Preview an attachment: Select the attachment and press the Space bar.
*
View the note that an attachment is in: Select the attachment, then choose View > Show in Note (or use the Touch Bar).
*
Open an attachment in its default app: Double-click the attachment.
*
Save an attachment: Control-click the attachment, then choose Save Attachment.
You can’t used this method to save some attachments, such as maps and website previews.
*
Rename an attachment: Select the attachment, choose Edit > Rename Attachment, then type a new name.
*
Share the attachment with another app: Select the attachment, click the Share button , then choose an app.
